Color refers to the natural body color of a diamond. The color grade, a measure of a stone's colorlessness determines how much tint of yellow it has. The color scale ranges from absolutely colorless (D color) to light yellow (L color). In general, the less color a diamond has the more money it is, all other factors being equal.

(J) To most people this diamond will look completely colorless when viewed face-up, but with careful examination you may be able to detect a very subtle glow of yellowish tint. Many people find that this touch of color adds to the stone’s personality and gives the diamond a warm lively appearance. While completely colorless diamonds are more expensive, a J color is the most affordable in the near-colorless range and therefore offers the best value in diamond color so you can buy a larger diamond for the price.

Clarity SI1

Most diamonds have inclusions. These are natural microscopic features in a diamond. The clarity grade refers to a stone's relative absence of these clarity characteristics from FL (flawless) to I1 (included) scale. Most people find the "sweet spot" to be VS2/SI1 where the diamonds appear "eye clean".

(SI1) This diamond contains few inclusions detectable using 10x magnification. However, when the diamond is set in jewelry, these inclusions are not usually visible to the naked eye. The SI1 graded diamonds are less expensive then higher clarity graded and therefore offer exceptional value for those that want to stay within budget and get a larger diamond. The Deal Score helps you assess how a diamond is priced compared to others with similar specifications, including shape, carat, cut, color, clarity, certification type, and more. Our developers use artificial intelligence to analyze our entire inventory and assign a Deal Score to each diamond, making it easier for you to filter for the best value.

A "Certified Dream Deal" means the diamond is priced significantly lower than the average price for similar diamonds. A "Great Deal" is priced well below the average, and a "Good Deal" represents a solid price relative to similar diamonds. Finally, a "Fair Deal" indicates the diamond is priced in line with the typical market price for comparable diamonds.

We recommend using the Deal Score filter later in your search to help narrow down your options or break a tie between final contenders. However, keep in mind that just because a diamond doesn’t have a "Certified Dream Deal" or "Great Deal" score doesn’t mean it’s not a great choice. Certain diamonds—especially fancy shapes like Oval, Emerald, and Radiant cuts—can command a premium price due to rare proportions and unique features. These elements are not reflected in the Deal Score.

If a diamond fits your budget and meets your personal preferences, especially in terms of shape or rarity, feel confident in your decision, even if it’s not the highest-rated Deal Score.

The diamond being upgraded must be natural earth mined and in original condition and accompanied by original laboratory grading document. DreamStone can also remodel most rings to accommodate the new diamond for a minimal charge.
